VL2 at the iSLC 2012 in San Diego April 30, 2012 The fifth annual inter-Science of Learning Centers (iSLC) Conference was hosted by the Temporal Dynamics of Learning Center (TDLC) in San Diego from April 21 to April 23, 2012. This year’s theme, “Time, Mind and Education Intertwined” emphasized the role of time in learning.
As one of the six Science of Learning Centers represented there at the conference, VL2 sent several graduate students to discuss their research with VL2.

VL2 Participates in On the Record International Media Tour March 28, 2012 From Gallaudet University's news site, "On the Green": "Nearly a dozen foreign journalists visited Gallaudet University March 27 as part of an on-the-record media tour coordinated by Gallaudet University’s Office of Communications and Public Relations and the U.S. Department of State Foreign Press Center." Dr. Petitto, VL2's Science Director and the Director of the Brain and Language Lab gave a televised interview.
VL2/Clerc Center School Partner Meeting March 23, 2012 At the joint VL2/Clerc Center School Partner Meeting at the Newark School for the Deaf on Sunday, March 18, VL2 researchers presented their findings and had a very good discussion with teachers on how research can and does impact practice.
