Events

CREST Fest 2021 will be hosted by the NSF-funded CREST Network (Cultivating Research and Equity in Sign-related Technology). This will be free, and anyone may register to attend the free digital events. 

This six-week virtual festival will run from June 14 to July 23 and consist of:

• Keynote presentations
• Q&A discussions open to the public
• Networking opportunities, and
• The CREST Ambassador mentoring program for deaf and hard-of-hearing high school and college students

Topics will include:

• Accessibility in virtual reality (VR)
• Signed language documentation
• Automated sign language production
• 3D modeling and animation of signing characters
• And more!
