StudentsKatie RogersPsychologyNTID/RIT Katherine Rogers, for the past three years, has been working as a research assistant with the Social Research in Deafness Group, in the Social Work, Education, and Research Department at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. In 2004 Katherine completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire. During 2008 she achieved a Master of Research Methods in Psychology with Merit at the University of Manchester. Katherine’s interests include the emotional well-being of deaf people, and issues relating to the use of the standardised instrument of psychometrics within the Deaf population. As a research assistant Katherine has been working in a number of different areas, including independent evaluation studies of various projects. She was also a member of a team which carried out a critical literature review on resilience and deaf children. Katherine is currently undertaking an internship at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Rochester Institute of Technology, working with Peter Hauser. |
