Concetta Pucci

Special Education Administration
Gallaudet University


Connie grew up in London, Ontario, Canada and attended Robarts School for the Deaf. She got her B.S.W. from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001, and continued at New York University, getting her M.S.W. in 2002. After graduating, she worked at Lexington School for the Deaf for four years as a school social worker, then she moved on to work at Model Secondary School for the Deaf as a dorm counselor for a year.
Connie is a 3rd year doctoral candidate in Special Education Administration at Gallaudet University. She has served on several committees, such as the Council on Graduate Education, Graduate Student Association, and the Institutional Review Board. Connie now works at the Center of ASL/English Bilingual Education and Research (CAEBER).

In her free time, Connie is an avid runner, having participated in NYC's Marathon in 2007 and plans to participate in DC's Marathon in 2009. She loves traveling and exploring different cultures in other countries, including sampling local cuisine and bringing back recipes.
