Clifton moved to Washington D.C. from San Diego to earn his doctorate in Linguistics. His current focus is on depiction (see drl.gallaudet.edu). On his off time, he likes to read and spend time outdoors or travel. After the passage of an enormous number of years and the conferral of his Ph.D, Clifton would like to continue to do linguistic research.
Clifton is a Center Research Fellow of the Visual Language and Visual Learning (VL2) Center at Gallaudet.
