Sen Qi

Psychometrics
Gallaudet University


Dr. Sen Qi received his undergraduate training in psychology (B.ED.) from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China. His graduate studies were in the area of educational measurement (M.ED., University of Pittsburgh), and social research methodology (Ph.D., UCLA).

Before joining the Gallaudet Research Institute, Sen Qi worked in GED Testing Service of American Council on Education for 14 years, conducting survey research and policy studies. He worked in the areas of adult education, secondary national data analyses, psychometric studies, and student assessment.

Sen Qi is currently a research scientist in GRI. He has been writing about issues of assessing deaf and hard of hearing students. He also teaches a graduate course in statistics.
