From the same team who created the award-winning The Baobab, we bring you The Blue Lobster, a new Primer for the young reader (ages 3 and up)! Continuing the little girl's adventures in The Baobab, this time, she goes off in search for a rare blue lobster! Our apps are interactive ASL-English bilingual readers, with a large vocabulary collection, and rich storytelling. The story was inspired by the rare Blue Lobster that is presently housed at the National Aquarium, Baltimore, and is why the National Aquarium heads have invited us to launch our first Primer app for the young visual learner in association with them! VL2 to Hold Breakthrough Meeting on Visual Sign Phonology
On Saturday, February 1, 2014, VL2 Scientists will meet for a day-long intensive workshop to discuss foundational questions about the emerging construct of Visual Sign Phonology. The participants will grapple with critical questions, such as, What is Visual Sign Phonology? What should we call it? What are the important scientific questions? What should be studied, and how?
