project 30 -- Workgroup on the design of infant studies

NCF 4: Workgroup on the design of infant studies examining visual engagement (Singleton, Corina, Hauser, Morford):

We are developing an interuniversity collaboration group to investigate how eye-gaze following, attention regulation, and language development is influenced by early experience with caregivers who emphasize shared visual attention in a signed environment. Working groups are being set up in 2009, followed by the preparation of experiments and recruiting of subjects for full-scale research in 2009-2011.
