Kelsey Cappetta
Gallaudet University

Kelsey Cappetta, MA, LSWA, is currently a second-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program at Gallaudet University. She completed her undergraduate work at the College of the Holy Cross, focusing on Deaf Studies and Spanish (2012), and she received her Master of Arts degree from Tufts University, where she specialized in child study and human development (2015). In EL2, Kelsey is examining early milestones of young deaf children's ASL acquisition through analysis of data from the Visual Communication and SIgn Language database. She is also providing support for the Extended Education Longitudinal Study. Kelsey’s clinical and research interests center on working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing children, adolescents, and families.
